Websites for plumbers that turn calls into booked jobs

Most plumbers' websites list services and hope. Yours will capture the job type, the postcode and how urgent it is — then land it on your phone before the caller has tried the next number.

The problem

You're under a sink. The phone rings. Then what?

Plumbing enquiries don't wait. Someone with water coming through a ceiling rings three numbers and books the first one that answers. Everything below is what a plumbing website has to solve — and what most of them don't.

What happens now
  • A missed call leaves you a number and nothing else — no postcode, no job type, no idea whether it's a dripping tap or a burst main.
  • Half the enquiries are twenty miles away, and you find out during the phone call rather than before it.
  • Gas Safe, NICEIC and your liability cover sit in the footer, where a nervous customer never scrolls.
  • You pay for a directory lead that lands with four other trades at the same moment.
What happens instead
  • The enquiry arrives with job type, postcode, urgency and a photo — often enough to quote without leaving the ladder.
  • The form checks the postcode against your coverage before it will submit. Out-of-area never reaches you.
  • Accreditations sit above the fold, with the structured data that puts them into search results too.
  • Every enquiry is yours alone, and the reviews and rankings stay with you rather than a platform.

What your enquiry form captures

Every field earns its place

This isn't a generic contact form. Each field is here because it changes what you do next — whether you go now, quote later, or turn it down.

Name & phone
So you can ring back in thirty seconds rather than emailing.
Postcode
Checked against your coverage area before the form will submit. No more forty-minute drives to a job you'd have declined.
Job type
Boiler, leak, bathroom, drainage, emergency. Tells you what to load in the van.
How urgent
"Water everywhere" and "sometime next month" get different responses. This is the field that decides your day.
Address
Auto-completed from the postcode so nobody mistypes it.
Describe the job
Free text and photos. Often enough to quote without a site visit.
How they heard of you
One dropdown that tells you within a month whether the directory spend is worth it.

Questions

What plumbers ask us

How much does a plumber's website cost?

Ours are £1,295 or £2,500 depending on size, plus £69 or £89 a month covering hosting, your domain, backups and enquiry delivery. Across the UK you'll see anything from £500 for a template to £6,000 from an agency. What matters is whether it captures the job — a cheap site that produces nothing is the expensive option.

I'm already on Checkatrade. Do I need my own website?

Directories work, but you're renting. The leads are shared with other trades, the reviews belong to the platform, and if you stop paying it all disappears. Your own site produces enquiries nobody else sees, and the reviews and rankings stay yours. Most plumbers we build for keep both, then reduce directory spend once their own enquiries pick up.

Will it show up on Google Maps?

Google Maps results come from your Google Business Profile, not your website — but the two work together. We set up and verify the profile, add the structured data Google needs to connect it to your site, and build area pages for the postcode districts you cover.

Can it take deposits or payments?

Yes. Card deposits through Stripe, or Direct Debit through GoCardless if you run service plans. Deposits cut no-shows on booked jobs considerably.

What if someone enquires from outside my area?

The form checks the postcode against the districts you cover before it will submit. Anyone outside gets a polite message rather than becoming a wasted phone call.

How long does it take?

Three phases — Discovery, Build, Launch. How long depends on how quickly you get us photos and details; the build itself is not the slow part. We agree the timeline before starting and you'll know immediately if anything slips.

Do I own it?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name, not ours, and transfers to any registrar free on request. If you leave, the site leaves with you.
